Tamron has announced the launch of the 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD (Model A057), an ultra-telephoto zoom lens for FUJIFILM X-mount cameras.
The 150-500mm F5-6.7 covers a full-frame equivalent focal length range of 225mm to 750mm. The new ultra-telephoto zoom is equipped with Tamron's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor for hig-speed autofocus and a VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism with three mode settings, (Standard, Panning, and Framing Priority). A minimum focusing distance of 60cm at the 150mm end, and 180cm at 500mm.
The optical construction features 25 elements in 16 groups, including one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) element, five LD (Low Dispersion) elements, and two Hybrid Aspherical lens elements to control aberrations including axial chromatic aberrations.
