Tokina today announced the release of the SZ 33mm F1.2 manual prime lens for Fujifilm X and Sony E mount APS-C camera systems.
Tokina say the aim of this lens was to provide a lens at an affordable prive but with superb bokeh and low-light performance.
A 33mm focal length (50mm in full frame) equals to a standard angle of view that allows this lens to be used in a wide range of genres such as landscapes, street, portrait, wedding and nightscape photography. Compared to the existing Tokina atx-m 33mm F1.4, the Tokina SZ 33mm F1.2 is faster and adopts a manual focus and a manual click-less aperture to achieve a more attractive price and to make this lens more functional in video production.
The optical construction consists of 9 elements in 7 groups and features a 11 blade aperture diaphragm.
By releasing the Tokina SZ 33mm F1.2 for Fuji X and Sony E mount mirrorless cameras, Tokina aims to provide the mass market with one more powerful option for photographers and videographers.
