Samyang has announced a new AF 135mm F1.8 FE lens designed for use with Sony E-mount cameras. This lens will be released with autofocus capabilities. The autofocus system uses Samyangs Linear STM (stepping motor) to give photographers and videographers quieter and more accurate control of the focusing lens groups. The optical design minimises focus breathing, which is especially advantageous for video recording.
The 135mm Samyang also features a Focus Hold button to keep the lens locked at a focusing distance, A Custom Button and a Focus Range Limiter switch (only operates in AF mode).
The lens has a micro-patterned rubber focus ring, and weather-sealing protects the lens from light rain, snow, and dust.
