Nikon today announced the development of the Remote Grip MC-N10 for mirrorless cameras for which the Nikon Z mount has been adopted.
The Remote Grip MC-N10 is an accessory that allows remote control of Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras via a wired connection. It can control various functions of Nikon mirrorless cameras, increasing the efficiency of video recording with a small crew and expanding the possibilities of video recording. It also supports still shooting.
The front of the grip has an on/off switch, a shutter release, record button, ISO button and an exposure compensation button. Below these buttons is a command dial and two function buttons on the grip handle. Looking at the rear of the remote grip is a joystick and a second command dial. Other buttons include a AF-ON button, a Display button, an Info button, magnify buttons, a menu button and also a playback button.
Pricing and availability will be released at a later date.
Also today Nikon released a 2.0 firmware update for Z9 mirrorless cameras, v1.4 for Z 6II and Z 7II and also the new MC-CF660G CFexpress memory card
