Description
The EOS R5 released in 2020 is Canons flagship full frame mirrorless camera. Featuring a 45MP sensor, Dual-Pixel II with 5940 selectable focus points and in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) of up to 8 stops. The R5 is capable of of a burst of 20 fps in electronic shutter mode and 12 fps with the mechanical shutter, which will be great with the new Animal Eye recognition.
The R5 is can shoot 8K video at 24 and 30 fps, although concerns arose with over heating issues.
This mirrorless body has a 5.76M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 2.1M-dot, 3.2" articulating rear touchscreen. The EOS R Touch Bar has been dropped for the R5 in favour of the scroll wheel, a much welcomed change. Dual card slots has also been added with one UHS II SD and one CFexpress.
