The Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 FE II is a prime lens designed for the Sony E-mount camera system. This lens is ideal for close-up and dramatic shots of food, portraits, and nature.
The autofocus system uses Samyangs Linear STM (stepping motor) to give photographers and videographers with quieter and more accurate control of the focusing lens groups. The optical design minimizes focus breathing, which is especially advantageous for video recording.
The 135mm Samyang also features a Focus Hold button to keep the lens locked at a focusing distance and a Custom switch.
Optically this lens has 11 elements in 8 groups. One extra low-dispersion lenses (ED), three high refractive lenses (HR) and two ultra-precision aspherical lens (UA), deliver excellent sharpness and contrast in all areas of the image.
The lens has a micro-patterned rubber focus ring, and weather-sealing protects the lens from light rain, snow, and dust.
