OM Digital Solutions has released the OM System OM-1, a flagship micro four thirds camera. This is the first camera under the new branding of OM System to be released.

The OM-1 uses a new 20 Megapixel Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor, and the latest TruePic X image processor, which is three times faster than previous models. New noise processing technology increases the maximum normal sensitivity to ISO 25600, and the expanded maximum sensitivity to ISO 102400.

This camera offers image stabilization which delivers up to 8.0 steps of compensation with 5-axis sync IS, and up to 7 steps with the body alone. The new Handheld Assist feature makes it easy to capture slow shutter speed effects that previously required a tripod.

With 1,053, all cross-type phase-detection points, the OM-1 features a quad-division photodiode that allows for ‘on-chip phase detection’ in both vertical and horizontal directions. The OM-1 features a Cross Quad Pixel AF that focuses on various patterns of subjects across all pixels in the shooting range, producing a high-speed and high-precision AF on your subject, no matter where it appears in your frame.

Furthermore, this model is equipped with AI Detection AF, which was developed using deep learning technology. In addition to greater than ever high-speed, high-precision subject recognition and tracking, this model can recognize formula cars, motorcycles, airplanes, helicopters, trains, and birds, as well as animals (dogs and cats). The detection precision, tracking performance, and responsiveness of Face Priority/Eye Priority AF has also been improved significantly.

This camera features a 5.76M-dot Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) and has a fully articulated 3" 1.62M-dot rear touchscreen. Reach up to 50fps blackout-free AF/AE tracking or 120fps blackout-free AF/AE locked.

Industry-leading image stabilisation allows users to shoot stable handheld video up to 4K in 60p and capture a maximum of 240p at Full HD. The OM-1 supports H.264 (8bit), H.265 (10bit) and also features a Multi-Frame Rate for recording video over 30 minutes.

The OM-1 also supports OM-Log for greater freedom in post-production. The new Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) has also been added to the OM-1 for much easier HDR video recording.

The OM-1 is dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof to temperatures upto -10°C.
