Its been 10 years since Fujifilm announced its first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the X-Pro1. To celerbrate the 10 year anniversary of the X-mount Fujifilm have planned an event set for May 2022, the X Summit.
Fujifilm will be releasing a collection of videos featuring photographers around the world who use X-mount cameras. As well as this Fujifilm is starting a hashtag campaign. X-mount users will be able to participate in posting images to social media platforms, such as Instagram, with the hashtag ‘#10YearsOfXMount.’ If Fujifilm notice your image, the company may ask permission to share your image on its new global account ‘FujifilmXWorld’. Each month Fujifilm will select a theme as a photo which will be announced at the beginning of each month on the fujifilm-x.com website.
Lastly, late on in the video, Fujifilm confrmed it would be releasing the 5th Generation X-mount camera, described as 'it will be a further evolution X series based on the expertise of the past 10 years'. No further information on this was released.
