Digital SLR camera series by Nikon. The D-series has various sub series for the range from amateur photographers to professionals. Nikons D-series uses the F-mount. Nikon created some of the first digital SLRs with the D1 released in 1999. There are two sensor sizes in the D-series range, APS-C format ’DX’ and Full-frame format ’FX’.
